What is the process?
We make it very easy on the moms and do all of the leg work for you! Once you deliver Heidi will come up to the hospital (usually within at least 12 hours of delivery) to pick up the placenta. Normally a partner or family member will meet her at the front door of labor and delivery to bring it to me. Then she will take it to a clean and sanitized work space to clean and prepare it. Once the pills and any additional products are ready she will bring it back to you! Often she is able to even bring it all back to the hospital, otherwise she will bring it to your home and under certain circumstances it will be priority shipped back.π
Payment
It is a $50 non refundable deposit to reserve services, and the rest is paid when Heidi picks upπ
Hospital/Doctor's Policy
Please make sure you talk to your provider your wishes to keep your placenta so they make a note in your file, and to see any hospital policy or paperwork you may be required to sign. Nornally it's very easy and not a problem at all to get your placentaπ Keep in mind that the placenta cannot go to pathology or else it will not be suitable to ingest. Please keep me informed if you develop GBS as the placenta will need to be steamed first. I also suggest taking a small cooler or even a styrofoam cooler with you to the hospital to store the placenta in until I arrive.
How many pills and what is the dosage?
Most moms get an average of 120 pills, and it is suggested to take 1-3 daily. With the raw/unsteamed method you actually get more pills than with TCM. I do all placentas raw method preparation unless asked otherwiseπ
